  • Added support for Render Boost, a photorealistic rendering plugin. See "The Render Boost plugin" in Help for more details.
  • Added support for universal 3D exchange format Collada™. Now sharing 3D projects between popular 3D editing software and viewing interior views in Apple Preview becomes easier (File > Export To > Collada (*.dae) in Save as Type pop-up).
  • RenderMan®-compliant RIB format which can be rendered using 3Delight Studio Pro (freeware version available), (File > Export To > RenderMan® (*.rib) in Save as Type pop-up).
  • Added a new alternative 2D view mode that displays furniture as if you were looking at it from above in 3D (View > 2D Representations: Auto-Generated).
  • Camera controls added that allow you to set precise parameters for every user or movie camera. Camera elevation and horizontal and vertical rotate angles can now be controlled (Inspector > Cameras Tab > Camera Controls).

This Live Interior 3D 2.6.5 Standard technical update (Standard and Pro) changes the way walls are measured, adds various commands to make navigation easier, and more.


  • Added "Jump to Selection in 3D" to the context menu and main Edit menu. This enables you to get quickly view a selected object in the 3D view.
  • Added "Unlock" to the context menu in both the 2D and 3D views to simplify unlocking locked objects.
  • Reworked the Fly Around mode so that it spins around the part of an object under the cursor.
  • Changed the way the program measures walls. Walls are now measured from the inner point where they intersect with another wall while drawing.
  • When adjusting or drawing walls, custom floors, ceilings, and wall panels, the amount of change in length when dragging the mouse now depends on the set zoom and selected scale for the project.
